Jay looked around the auditorium, excited butterflies fluttering about in her stomach as she waited. She had never led a club before, and she wasn't even sure if she was entirely capable. There had been a pretty good turn out on the sign up sheet, and it was very likely that more students would sign up as the year went on, but having the first meeting was like a..test of her capabilities or something. She'd checked with everybody before hand, sent out texts to people who needed to bring things special, and had made sure that the Auditorium was theirs for the night. Homework was still light this early in the year, so there probably wouldn't be too many members trucking around backpacks so they could work while they watched. There wasn't anything wrong with that, of course, in fact Jay thought that a lot more students would come watch movies on a school night if the knew that they would find a relatively nice place to get their work done. It didn't matter now anyway, Jay reminded herself, tonight would probably be really chill and give her a chance to catch up with all the members.

The leadership this year was looking to be spectacular, though Jay was of course partial to every person on the list. Still, they were a good, hard-working bunch and this year promised to be a good one for the club. Jay ran a hand across one of the tables set up for snacks and popcorn and candy and stuff, wondering how long it was till the thing started. There still was a while, but her officers should be showing up soon with all their goodies!

Audrey was super excited that Jay had taken over this club. She had always been in it, but usually just as a member. She figured she'd jump up and convince Jay to have her as the Trendy Treasurer. She was sure she'd be able to handle that. Plus how hard would it be to keep track of a little bit of money? It was her last year and she was determined to be in a bunch of cool stuff.

Audie had spent most of the afternoon after classes covered in sugar and flour. She had decided early in the day that she would make brownies and after spending almost two hours in the kitchen trying to make sure she didn't mess anything up, she had probably enough to keep people happy with. She had put extra chocolate chips in them so when people ate them they'd get a mouthful a chocolate! Audrey had stolen a couple squares while she was cutting them, but she was sure no one would miss them. They tasted amazing and that was all that mattered!

Now, a little bit earlier than Jane had told everyone to arrive, Audrey pushed open the door to the auditorium with her foot and glanced around. She was simply dressed, jeans and a shirt that she was sure was probably Jane's, but who really knew? She spotted her best friend quickly and was about to wave before she remembered she was trying to hold a plateful of brownies. Swaying slightly, trying to regain her balance, she hurried forward and decided to just call out. "Dude Jane! I made brownies! A whole two hours of being covered in flour, so your meeting would have Audie's Brownies. You better like them!" She smiled widely and set the plate on one of the tables that were set up. "Are we actually going to watch a movie tonight? If so which one?" She rolled back and forth on her feet, watching the door for more people. She was to excited to just stand still. Though that might also include the fact that she'd had a bunch of sugar today. Oops. She'd have to try and keep quiet. She really wanted Jane's first meeting to go well.

Post  Kaylor Victoria Tue Nov 04, 2008 12:32 pm

Kaylor carefully set several trays of goodies on a cart she was borrowing from the kitchens. She'd not been able to find candy, and even if she had she wouldn't know what to buy. So, she threw together some new recipes and spent the day in the kitchens baking. Her efforts brought about great rewards. Now she wheeled a cart full of trays with chocolate chip cookies, chocolate peanut butter brownies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes and french bread with butter. The french bread was the only thing she had not baked herself. No, she'd begged it off one of the kitchen staff and then had taken a container of butter for good measure. She'd also had the good sense to grab small paper plates, napkins and plastic-ware. Her outfit contradicted her day spent baking as it was absolutely spotless. Perhaps she had changed before heading to the meeting? The world would never know.

Reaching the closed auditorium doors, she slid around the cart, pulled open a door and pushed the cart through the door. Following said cart and letting the door fall closed on its own, she spotted that Jay-Jay and Audrey had already arrived. "I couldn't find any sweets...So I made some. I hope you're not too disappointed, Jay-Jay." Her expression was calm and friendly, her eyes level when they met the older girl's pair. " Are you nervous?" Kaylor had no doubt in her mind that Jane would be spectacular as the president of the Cinema-Awesome club. Perhaps Jane was worried though, best to be supportive.

Noticing the brownies already on one of the tables, Kaylor flashed a grin Audrey's way. "I'm guessing those beauties are your handiwork. They look delicious!" Wheeling the cart over to the table, she set about transporting trays of goodies to the table. Each of her baked sweets were set around Audrey's, framing the very chocolate brownies. She set the bread and the butter to one side and then laid out plates, plastic-ware and napkins. When she had finished unloading the cart, she pulled the saran wrap off of what she'd brought and pushed the cart to an out of the way spot in the back of the auditorium. The saran wrap was carefully laid out so that she could cover up any leftovers.

Jay's tummy wiggled around uncomfortable as she looked around the room once more. Jeez, it was like a good twenty minutes before the thing started, she really needed to get under control. But what if nobody comes? Jay stuck her tongue out at the empty room and began twirling her fingers in her hair. She had a pretty good knot going when the door swung open suddenly and a foot appeared. That foot was soon followed by its person, a person that Jay was extremely happy to see. In her surprise and excitement at the chocolate-scented entrance of Audie Jay had managed to get her fingers caught in her hair. She struggled painfully with her hair as Audie carried her plate of wonderful (as always) brownies to the table. "Owie. I think I'm stuck." She wrenched her hair free, the smiled brightly at Audie, her temporary pain forgotten already. "Dude, Audie! They smell really delicious, and man they look good!" Jay licked her lips comically and rubbed her stomach, which had stopped its complaining in favor or begging for a brownie or two. "You better not let me have too many, or they'll be gone by the time everybody else gets here." She winked at Audie, rubbing her hands together in her excitement to get the night (not to mention the brownies) started. "Yup, I set Isaac to the task of picking a good one. I dunno what he picked, but he probably didn't fail too badly." She shook her head and laughed softly, having perfect faith that Isaac would definitely pick a great one. He was the Maverick Movie-Finder, after all.

Jay caught the sound of squeaky wheels from the hallway on the other side of the door and cocked her head slightly. What could that be? She only had a moment to try to guess before the door swung open and Kaye rolled in a cart stocked full of goodies. Jay's slightly wondering expression quickly broke into a shining smile after her eyes took in the huge spectrum of sweet things. She honestly shouldn't have expected anything less from Kaye, but it was still a wonderful surprise. "Holy moly, between you two guys we might have to make this into a 'Food-awesome!' club." Her brain suddenly registered the clothes that Kaye had on. "And, damn. I think I'm under-dressed." She took a step back and looked over the dress, then scooped up the apron in her hands, "That's what it is! You look like you just walked out of American McGee." Jay wondered if Kaye had ever played the game. It wasn't exactly the most bubbly-happy game in the world, and Jay didn't usually speak on the subject for fear that people would think she was slightly deranged. "And yeah, I'm nervous as a... a....mouse? I don't even know. What am I nervous as, Audie?" Jay smiled, glad that she could wait for the other members in such good company.

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Saffron Wickersham Tue Nov 04, 2008 7:47 pm

It didn't take long for Saffron to get ready for going to movie night. She simply combed her hands through her straight hair, checked it in the mirror to be just sure that it was alright, shoved through her tight black jeans and into a nice white and blue splatter t-shirt and hit the road- or the hallways, rather. She loved walking through the hallways on the way to the auditorium, something about it seemed really eerie in a way, but totally cool at the same time. It was that whole alone but not alone feeling. Cah-ray-zay.

Saffron slipped through the auditorium door as silently and sneakily as a snake. She weaved, hunched over, between seats, following the sound of voices. Her camera hung around her neck, and she grabbed for it, readying for the strike. You see, she absolutely adored candid photographs, but not many people shared that enthusiasm, especially when she was taking pictures of them. So, she had to fight for it a little.

Jumping up at the end of Jane's last sentence, Saffie set the auditorium alight with a rapid fire of camera shots, about five pictures one right after the other. Fred was so good to her, taking fast pictures with great detail and such. She loved her camera to death.

"Oh yeah, work it girls, work it!" She laughed as the light of her flash struck Jay, Kaylor and Audrey. "Ooooooh! Yummies!" ADD taking over, Fred dropped back down around her neck and she rushed over to grab a brownie and a cookie, one in each hand. She went back and forth eating them, as she approached the girls again. "Who is soooo excited for tonight's movie? I am! That's who!"

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Audrey Catlett Fri Nov 07, 2008 6:50 am

Audrey laughed, smiling with her whole face. She reached out to untangle Jane's hair, it looked like it was all knotted up. She was sure her friend wouldn't want her hair funny looking weird for the meeting, so after about two seconds she got it all smooth again. "There. Anyways. I'm sure Isaac will pick something amazing. Something funny. Hmm. I don't know. I'm in the mood for any movie." She shrugged before glancing back up at the door.

It seemed like Kaylor had out done herself again. Audie smiled at the cartful of treats before glancing over Kaylor's outfit. "Kaye! You look absolutely amazing." She really though the dress was cute, pretty color and all. Clean too, though Audie was the one who usually got more flour in her hair than in the baked goods themselves. She nodded at Jane's comment about being underdressed. "It's cool. We'll be underdressed together. Oh and that reminds me! Is this shirt yours or mine?" She fingered the cotton fabric actually trying to remember buying it or not. Though when Audie shopped for clothes it was a more of. 'Oh my gosh! That cute!' and what ever it is being thrown into the basket to buy. So she tends not to remember exactly what's hers. Though she had always told Jane to put her name on things. "I think I managed to confuse our clothes faster this year than any other year."

Audie grabbed a chocolate chip cookie and taking a big bite of it, letting Jane answer Kaye's question about being nervous. Nervous as a...Before she has a chance to answer Jane though, she was blinded by a flashes. After a second though, she was surprised she didn't expect it. She struck a pose, pushing her fingers into her hair and making some stupid face before laughing. "Hey Saffie! I'm super excited too! She then remembered Jane had asked her a question. "Oh Jane! How about...umm. As nervous as a...cat on a hot tin roof?" She smiled slightly remembering the little cliché she heard over the summer. So far the evening was turing out fairly well. At least everyone who was already here got along amazingly well.

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Kaylor Victoria Tue Nov 11, 2008 2:01 am

A barrage of responses filled the room as everyone seemed to say something or other about one thing or another. Food-Awesome club, the idea was an interesting one. Kaylor glanced curiously at Audie. Perhaps they should do a bake sale this year...But where would the funds go? Donate them to one club or another? Or perhaps use the funds for something else? The sophomore's mind turned to playing with this idea. A bake sale sounded kind of nice...Or maybe a bake giveaway instead? Something like that. To be able to offer up her goodies for others to taste as they liked. It certainly had it's benefits.

American McGee. That caught her attention. Kaylor glanced down at the dress she was wearing and then turned bright red. "Sorry..I didn't think, I just grabbed something out of my closet..." Come to think of it, this was an old costume she'd stuck in her suitcase. Back to the present, Kaylor was beginning to wish she'd actually thought about what she was wearing. She didn't want to make everyone else seem underdressed. She'd messed up!

Sudden flashes of light interrupted her thoughts. Her face adopted a serene smile littered with some confusion when she turned to find the source of the flashing. Ah, Saffron! She should've known. The other girl was a very skillful photographer, after all. The excitement Saffron seemed to radiate looped around Kaylor and brought amusement to her. At least she was enjoying the baked goodies, right? And she really seemed very excited for the movie that was to be watched later on.

Turning her attention to the compliment-giving Audie, Kaylor flushed again, rather embarrassed. "I do apologize. I should've dug around for my jeans...Something normal." Flustered, she fingered the apron in an almost depressed manner. Why the hell had she been so dumb as to grab this thing?

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Jane Johnson Tue Nov 11, 2008 4:25 am

"Yeah, I trust Isaac to pick a good'un. I kinda hope it's more on the scary side, but I dunno. It's our first meeting and I just wanna watch a movie with you crazy kids." She threw her arms around Kaye and Audie and pulled them into a loose group hug. Audie pulled away to admire Kaye's outfit and then to comment on her own. Jay put her chin in her hand and tilted her head slightly to look at the shirt, "You know, I'm really not sure. Maybe we should have joint custody." Jay giggled at her and Audie's talent to confuse clothes, "It looks great on you though, I think we should just call it yours and I can steal it if I want." She grinned and winked at Audie, knowing that one person's clothes did not stay their own for very long in their dorm room.

Jay had just managed to snag herself a brownie and begin stuffing it in her mouth when sudden flashes began to fill the room. She wondered fleetingly if somebody was trying to start a rave in the auditorium when her mind finally figured out what was going on. It was Saffie of course! That crazy little shutterbug had managed to snap some grade-A photos of Jay stuffing her face. Jay swallowed and smiled at Saffie, harboring no hard feelings since there were relatively few times in her life when she wasn't stuffing her face. She whipped out a couple of ridiculous hip-cocking poses, for the sake of getting Saffie to laugh her ass off when she looked back over them, then waved her friend over. "Hay girl! You make one hell of an entrance, let me tell you!" she said, laughing as Saffie abandoned her paparazzi-ing for the goodies table. She took this opportunity to stuff what was left of the brownie into her mouth, savoring the way Audie could stuff so much chocolate into her baking. Jay was more of a soups/seafood/steak cook herself, but she had often adventured into the land of chocolate. Hardly ever without Audie to hold her hand, though.

"Whooo, excitement!" Jay enthused, throwing her hands up in the air, "We've still got a bit of time before it starts though." She smiled at Kaye and shook her head in a negative to her friend's self-putdown, "Normal, shmormal. I think you look amazing Kaye, stop worrying." she smiled, then put her mind to Audie's analogy. "Yeah, I think that's it. Paint me red and call me aloof, I'm as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof!"

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Nikki Johns Tue Nov 11, 2008 3:59 pm

Nikki sashayed into the Auditorium for one of Jane's Cinema-Awesome movie nights. She didn't know what film they were going to view tonite but just the company would be worth it. And Isaac was in charge of picking the film so it would be interesting at least. Cheesy movies could be fun if shared with friends. She had sorted through her closet and had picked out a pair of black slacks and a nice black satin shirt, a pair of plain black pumps finished the monocrome outfit. The only bit of color was her bright red hair.

She waved to Jane as she came in, "Hi Jay, and Ree, I think that is my shirt you're wearing, but that's fine, I think Jay borrowed it from me." The Senior girls were always borrowing clothes from each other, sometimes at the end of the year they had to go through all the closets and re-sort all the clothes so that every got what they started with. But none of them really minded, it meant that if you needed a particular piece of clothing, one of them would have it. They all had slightly different tastes. Most of the time Ree would borrow from Jay and she would borrow from Abi, but sometimes it was a free-for-all.

She waved at all the others and wandered by the refreshments. They had brownies, her particular chocolate downfall. She picked up one and started nibbling on it, little bites so she could savor the chocolaty goodness. "So who made Brownies? These are really good." She looked around for something to drink. Drat no milk. Then she realized that there weren't any drinks anywhere yet. "So who was supposed to bring the drinks?" she spoke around a mouthful of brownie before heading over to the drinking fountain.

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Will Gates Wed Nov 12, 2008 7:28 am

If there was ever a position that Will coveted, it was his position in Jane's Cinema-Awesome club. His place on the soccer team? Ordinary. Being Izz's partner? Sweet, but not as sweet as this. That One Guy was the most important, most significant, and most correct position he had ever been given. He loved it. As such, when he strolled into the theatre, the grin on his face was full and genuine. Particularly after he noticed that he was thus far the only male to have arrived. "Sweet ass! I'm a shark in a sea of estrogen!" Setting his hand on his head to imitate the aforementioned aquatic predator, he knelt slightly and tip-toed around and between the girls, poking all of them in the ribs before stopping at Saffron and making a biting motion at her, chomping his teeth down to make a noise before grinning and turning to see the rest of them. Poor Nikki looked to be choking on her brownie, seeing as the drink-maker hadn't yet arrived. Being Jane's best had it's perks; he knew who the drink-maker was, but chose not to speak her name lest he be tainted with virginal qualities. Making a face at the thought, he rubbed his hair, already the characteristic fuzzy mess, and tugged his shirt back down from where he had disturbed it's place, resting on his belt. Wrapping an arm affectionately around Jane, he gave her a little side-snuggle before dislodging himself and leaping about, down the aisle to the front of the theatre.

That's what That One Guy did. He acted like Will Gates. Holding out his arms, he fell back into a chair and stretched out his legs, leaning his head back to look at the lot of them upside down. He felt a familiar tug on his stomach for a rush, a hit, but ignored it; his earlier high had worn off around half an hour before the club started and he hadn't had time to really get a proper return buzz that would last him the entire movie. Rubbing his eyes, surprisingly not blood-shot, he dug around in his pockets for the next best thing - a cigarette. Standing, he moved over the the emergency exit against the side of the auditorium and cracked the door just enough that he could stand almost outside but still have a foot to keep from being locked out. Lighting the Marlboro 27, he inhaled deeply and set his head against the bricks outside, smiling happily as the flood of nicotine relieved his desire for a buzz. It was better than pot, he supposed. He thought about the girls inside and chuckled to himself, trying not to think about the possibility that he wouldn't see most of them again after graduating. That was pretty damn depressing, and anyone that knew Will also knew that he didn't condone any of that nonsensical thinking.

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Saffron Wickersham Wed Nov 12, 2008 7:13 pm

As the flashes faded away and it became evident to the girls that they had just been not only captured in the act, but Saffi-fied on top of it, Saffron was content to just stuff her face with a few more morsels of chocolate-y delight. She nodded and laughed at each girls' exclamations; people just never seemed to get used to how she could pop up out of nowhere and embed them in the world of film. She just loved candid shots, and couldn't wait to get into the dark room to get a load of these ones.

As each person entered after her, Saffron would finish chewing whatever was in her mouth, shout, "Ohmgosh fire!" really fast as she snapped a picture of their- hopefully shocked- faces. The idea behind it was that Saffie wanted to catch some emotion pictures for each person in the movie group & at the end of the year put together a scrapbook or something of how people looked when watching scary movies, comedies, romances, etc, etc. Scary movie expressions somehow made it to the top of her list- maybe because those faces amused her the most.

Nikki was the first person she got the chance to test the FIRE shout with, and then strode in Will, who almost completely threw Saffron off- alright- did completely throw Saffron off as he walked by and snapped his jaw at her, not to mention the preceding poke in the rib- he had touched her rib... oh geez... no, no, no, she hadn't just thought that... Thank God she didn't have a face to show her train of thought, or else everyone would be snapping pictures of her extremely delighted yet shocked and totally crushing-melting expression. Instead, her expression was a cool smirk, she curled up her lip just slightly to growl at him, her free hand raising in a claw; she laughed. Oh, that shark...

She turned back to the ladies for a second, but couldn't seem to get caught up properly in their talkings and all, not with Will so nearby in the room at least. And then she remembered their recent text exchanges and got an idea- she turned back to him, but he was walking away, going out for a smoke, no doubt. She followed, a few feet behind him.

Outside, she took a second just to look at him, standing there smoking his cigarette and looking all "that one guy"ish. She smiled, snapped a pictures (she couldn't help it!) and approached him with a, "Hey you one guy; I've been working on my pout now y'know- let me lay it on'ya," she proceeded to stick her lower lip out just so much.

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Post  Abigail Applebottom Thu Nov 13, 2008 2:09 am

Abi had been looking forward to this day, since Jay had first told her that she was the leader of it now. She had suggested she should be the Irreplaceable Irritator, of course her position spoke for herself. Abi truly was irriplaceable as an irritator, her position completely ruled. As she strolled confidantly into the Auditorium, a small smile on her lips as she clutched her plastic cups and straws, in one hand, under her arm a large bag of crisps held under her arm. She suddenly heard Saffie,

"Ohmgosh fire!" Abi squealed, her mouth forming an 'o', while the crisps crunched to the floor, the cups falling out of her hand, Abi's eyes were wide. "What?!" As soon as a flash was taken in front of her, a picture of Nikki taken, she shook her head silently laughing.

"Hello movie-lovers!" Abi was so excited about the first movie they'd watch! "I've bought cups and junk, help yourselves!" She dumped the cups on the end of the table, dropping the straws inside, and putting the bag of crisps in the middle. Abi would bring it over when the film started, crisps were SO much better than plain old popcorn. She wondered what the first movie would be, it was left up to Isaac, so it would have to be good!

As Abi heard the end of her sentence, she walked over, "That shirts not mine!" Abi shook her head, "I borrowed it off ..someone before?" Abi turned her head, "I think?" She looked at the table covered with, chocolate, candy and all things sweet and amazing. Laughing as she heard Will Gates going around poking everyone, he was 'That One Guy', and he was certainly fulfilling his position.

"I can't wait to start!" Abi picked up a couple of sweets from a little cart, popping one quickly in her mouth. The sugar rushing to her head, this was going to be so fun! She was standing next to Nikki, having walked in behind her, staring curiously at the shirt Audie was wearing, she remembered wearing it sometime early a few days ago, it was odd passing clothes around. Things became easily confused in a dorm full of people that had similar styles, or were throwing clothes around the room trying to find something to wear. Abi had decided on a black long sleeved jumper, a purple t-shirt with pictures of strange shapes, although it wasn't violent it looked a bit strange.

She had put her hair back in bunches just behind her ears, spiking out showing the layers, her shorter layers falling out. Abi had managed to find her blue flared jeans hiding at the bottom of her case, and had grabbed an odd silver necklace lying on her bedside table that morning. "Do you have any idea what Isaac is going to get?" Abi asked, looking at Jay curiously.

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Being the drink-maker of Cinema-Awesome was certainly no small task; it was a large group, and determining how much to make without over-doing it or not bringing enough was an interesting task. Fortunately, she had learned through the examples of previous holders of her position just what to do. As such, there were five gallons of her homemade strawberry limeade in the huge Gatorade container she had borrowed for the event. She pushed carefully on the old metal cart, wheels squeaking with each inch. At least having a large single container meant that William Gates couldn't dump a pitcher of his head. She sighed, shifting her bag on her shoulder and gingerly pushing the cart into the door of the auditorium. People like Will made it incredibly difficult for Sophia to push beyond her self-imposed boundaries as far as friendly relationships were concerned. It had been that way since she had came to Harriman; the defense wall around Sophie Vi was thick and nearly impenetrable. She was considered intimidating, stuck up, and all manner of other things because of it, but it mattered very little to her. Her safety net wouldn't go far. Under the eyes of Isaac and Jane and even Izz, too, however, she had managed to bud a little in her sophomore year, branch out, be more friendly; as such, she was trying to continue that trend, despite her fears to the contrary. If she could open herself as she did when she was dancing...no. That was probably never going to happen. Baby steps, baby steps first.

At least she was trying. Sophia mustered a friendly smile as she moved toward the group of girls; she almost supposed no boys had yet arrived, by seeing Saffron skipping to the open door suggested that Will (ugh) was having a smoke outside. She watched Saff skip for a moment, wondering why they had never really connected (they were roomies, after all), before parking her cart next to those full of snacks. Eyeing the chocolate, she raised her brows. "Oh, yum!" She picked up a brownie and took a nibble, her small bites a leftover trait of her illness, and patted the Gatorade tub. "Strawberry limeade, guys." Smiling perhaps a bit more widely, she opened the lid and peeked in; fruit floated atop the concoction. Re-affixing it, she finished another bite of brownies and spoke once more. "These are really good. Wow." This was affirmed with another bite.

Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25 Empty Re: Cinema-awesome! Film Night, Sept. 25

Jay waved happily to Nikki when she entered, glad that she was actually having a wonderful turnout so far. They just needed drinks...and the damn movie. Where was Isaac anyway? She was too busy staring at the door, in the hope that Isaac would pop through and save the day, to take much notice of Saffie's shout. She gave Saffie a confused glance, wondering why somebody would set fire to the Auditorium, then continued to fret over the absence of a movie at the movie club. Her worry was cut short, however, by the well-timed and memorable as ever entrance of That One Guy. That One And Only Guy. She put a hand to the side of her head and laughed heartily at his imitation of a shark. "Don't overload there, big guy. Us poor female types just won't be able to handle such a dastardly sea...thing." She shook her head at her own rebellious tongue. "Shark. I mean shark." She grinned and wrapped her arms around Will as he hugged her, squeezing him extra-tight in thanks for coming to her club. She waved at Will and Saffie as they left, hoping in the back of her mind that he was only smoking cigs back there. Gawd she was such a mom. She turned her back away from the exit, and Will and Saffie, hesitantly.

"He hasn't told me what he's bringing. I really don't care what it is, so long as it gets here." she shrugged. She understood that there was a bunch of stuff going on, and she knew Isaac would get there at some time, and she could forgive him for being a little late. "Oooh! Drinks! Muchos thanks Soph. I think you may have just saved Nikki's life a bit." She poured out a plastic cup of strawberry limeade from the cooler and passed it to Nikki. "There you go champ." she said, making sure Nikki didn't actually die from a brownie attack. She then poured a cup for herself and downed it in one big gulp. "Wow, guess I'm a little nervous, huh?" she smiled, spinning her empty cup between the palms of her hands. "Well, might as well get started a bit while we wait for the movie. I have a few announcements to make anyways." She cleared her throat and turned back to where Saffie and Will had disappeared to. She wondered exactly what they were doing, but wasn't really worried, just making a pretense of it. After all, Saffie was probably one of the best people for Will to be...doing stuff with. She shook her head at her own thoughts and cupped her hands around her mouth. "Hey, you rebels without causes, I've got some stuff to say here. So hustle your bustles and chop chop and whatnot." She brought her hands down from her mouth, backed up to an empty spot of the table, next to the snacks, and hopped up to sit on it.

She waited for everyone to gather around a bit before starting her little spiel. "Okay you Cinema-awesome!-ers. First I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart, and several other organs for that matter," she shot a grin at Audie, Kaye, and Soph, "For showing up to this meeting. It means a bunch to me that I'm not the only movie nerd around here, and I couldn't think of better people to be a nerd with. So, now, let's talk shop. We have our lovely treasurer, Audie, here with us today, and I wanted to tell you guys that I'm going to actually try to make use of her. I am not going to ask any of you to pay dues, that would be silly and I know I would end up forgetting to pay myself. Instead, I'm going to try to have us throw a few fund raisers over the year. The money would go to renting and/or buying movies to show, paying for tickets if we want to take a field trip to the theater, and, finally, for my own wonderful addition to this club: Make-Your-Own-Movie nights. Now, we can't make our own movies if we don't have cameras, and I know that while some of you may already have a camera, others won't want to shell out hundreds to buy one. There is a solution though! I looked around and there's actually a film gear shop, kinda like a Gear Monkey if you know what that is, that you can rent cameras, lights, booms, whatever from at pretty good prices. So if we can raise up enough money, we can rent cameras and such every once and a while and really have a go at this movie-thing." She grinned at her small audience, realizing that she'd ended up being pretty long winded. "Well I've been talking too much already, so do any of you wanna put out any suggestions for fundraisers while I catch my breath?" She raised her eyebrows, hoping that she would be assaulted by the amazing ideas of her friends.
