[ THE TALENT ]: Singing. Ever since she was small, Tegan loved to sing. Anything she heard on the radio or TV she'd instantly try and mimic and as she got older she started to try and create her own music. She knows a little (and I mean, very basic) guitar and piano - enough to accompany herself, and while she was at first tempted to expand her talents towards dance, she's decided to stick with the music side of things for now.

[ THE PREVIOUS SUCCESSES ]: Winner of all her old school talent shows. A few local talent awards. Has a first aid certification and is a junior life-guard, thanks to her parents making her go sailing every summer since she was about twelve.
[ THE STRUGGLES ]: Tegan faces a lot of high expectations from her parents, but as a whole she doesn't have that much to complain about as far as they're concerned. They're very often away on business, she doesn't really get to see much of them and as such their guilt manifests itself in luxurious gifts and a seemingly infinite supply of money.
However, because of her rich lifestyle Teej often finds it hard to trust people as she never knows when people are just being friends with her because of her parents and their money.

[ THE OTHER SCHOOL ]: Tegan was originally enrolled in a private school in New York City, where her family home is. However, after several years being schooled in this way, her parents decided it would be easier to send their only daughter to a boarding school where they wouldn't have to worry about her throwing house parties or generally causing trouble in their absence - as she admittedly was prone to doing.
In school she got pretty much straight A's - with the occasional B and C in Math, her least favourite subject - and other than the odd telling off for talking incessantly she never had any real disciplinary problems as far as the educational institution was concerned.

LOOKS, LOCKS, AND LEGS

[ THE PLAYED-BY ]: Temple, Juno.

[ THE EYES ]: Her eyes are definitely one of her defining features. Cute, and almost almond shaped they give her face a slightly exotic edge, one that suggests something more than a plain old Irish-American background. The fact that they're a pale grey colour simply make them all that more interesting.
[ THE HAIR ]: Of all her traits, Tegan's hair is certainly the most noticeable. Bright, platinum blonde, impossibly curly and generally just big. Not only is it impossible to straighten, but it takes literally hours for her to do anything with it. Falling a couple of inches past her shoulders, it's anyone's guess how much longer it would be should she actually manage to straighten it. Regardless of this, however, she takes fantastic care of it. In fact, Tegan's known to wake up early just to make sure she avoids an embarrassing hair day -an act that shows her dedication to looking good.
[ THE SMILE ]: A definitely noticeable thing about Tegan is that she loves to smile. And not just small, mysterious half-smiles, but big, bold grins. Her teeth are perfectly straight thanks to the brace she wore throughout sixth and seventh grade, but even back then she was never one to hold back on a smile. Clean, bright and very "Tegan-esque", a real smile from her goes all the way to her eyes and more often than not is totally contagious.
[ THE OTHER FACIAL STUFF ]: Being a teenager, of course Tegan gets spots from time to time. However, despite her annoyingly alabaster skin the girl's fondness for make-up means she covers them up without a problem, and her strict cleansing routine means that it's rarely a problem anyway. Her bone structure is small and almost pixie-like - her face framed by small ears, a cute button nose and delightfully pale pink lips.

[ THE BUILD ]: While Tegan is understandably quite fit and strong thanks to her parents insistence on some form of exercise, she's not obviously toned. Of average height she's rather petite to look at, with the light, well-defined form of someone who works out regularly.
[ THE HEIGHT ]: 5 feet & 5 inches exactly.
[ THE WEIGHT ]: 120lbs.
[ THE POSTURE ]: Though she has a tendency to slouch when sitting, her posture is often described as 'bird-like'. Flighty, yet alert, her habit of talking with her hands often lends her an air of quirkiness. However, because of her tense, but light-stepped walk coupled with her general appearance Tegan often seems a lot more fragile than she actually is.

[ THE CLOTHING ]: Prada. Westwood. McQueen. Gucci. All the best names can be found hanging in this little diva's closet. However, regardless of the labels, her style is certainly individual and undeniably extroverted. A floaty black tunic-like dress coupled with chunky, multi-coloured accessories and some Prada platform heels is just one example of the style she's favouring at the moment. Generally dark clothes complimented by bright, bold accessories, Tegan's look is all about contrast.
Nevertheless, despite the girls penchant for designer labels, she's also a big fan of smaller, one-of-a-kind boutiques and more often than not you'll find her pairing her Gucci handbag with some unknown designer's dress. It's just another oddity in Tegan's seemingly endless list of quirks.
[ THE HYGIENE ]: Vanity is probably one of Tegan's biggest flaws. Despite her loathing of early mornings, she will set her alarm an hour earlier than necessary just to get up and get ready. She showers religiously every morning, as well as after exercise or before going out to a party or on a date. Because of the paleness of her skin, she has a strict cleansing regime which she completes every night before bed in order to prevent any blemishes because even the smallest of spots stands out horribly on her creamy complexion. Overall no one can really criticize the way Tegan looks after herself - its something she takes pride and she gains extra confidence just from knowing that she's looking good.

FAMILY: HATE TO LOVE 'EM?

[ THE PARENTS ]: Her personal 'ATM' aka 'Ruaidhri (Rory) Fenney' aka 'Dad'. Ruaidhri is the oldest son of an old family of Irish horse breeders. While their family business is still incredibly successful back in the UK, he left the running of it to his two younger brothers after meeting the beautiful Sarah Beaumont while studying Law in America. She was training to become a surgeon at the time, however now she's doing aid work in Africa on behalf of the United Nations. Ruaidhri didn't quite share his wife's enthusiasm for charity work and carried on working as a lawyer, going so far as to become partner in his own law firm in New York.
Because of their work, once Tegan was old enough to be left with a Nanny she began to see less and less of her parents. However, from a young age she was taught how lucky she was to be able to live the life that she does and as such has nothing but grudging respect for her parents and the work that they do. While it often upsets her that she's second best to their careers, she knows that they love her even if spending time as a family is a rarity for them.
[ THE SIBLINGS ]: Tegan is an only child, and while she used to wish for companionship when she was younger, now she's older and has witnessed what a pain brother's and sister's can be she's really rather glad that she doesn't have any.
[ OTHER IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS ]: Carla Ortega, Tegan's Nanny/Housekeeper. The middle-aged Dominican woman worked in her family home since Teej was about seven years old and after witnessing how attached their child had grown to her they took her on full-time, even when Tegan went beyond the age of needing a Nanny to attend to her. Carla has had a huge influence on the girl, particularly when it came to helping the child realise her dreams, as well as making her aware of how privileged she was and how important the work her mother was doing was. Overall, Carla was very much like an Aunt, a Sister and a Best-friend to little Tegan and it's really no wonder the girl misses her so much when they're apart.
Uncle Mickey - Everyone has a favourite crazy Uncle, and Tegan's happens to be her Father's youngest brother. It probably has something to do with the fact he bought her a pony for her tenth birthday. Either way, when she's feeling down she knows that if she needs cheering up he's the one to call - regardless of time differences or distance between them, he's always been there for her to count on; more so than her father.

[ IMPORTANT ANCESTRY ]: Other than the fact that the Fenney's ancestral seat can be traced back to very ancient times, there's nothing particularly important about Tegan's ancestors - unless you count the fact that her father owns one of the largest law firms in the United States and her Irish side of the family have bred several Grand National champions.
