but she cries just like a little girl [open]

it was the first day back from break, but it was absolutely miserable outside, and rather than brave the elements to go be inspired, seven was far more content to sit in the comfort of her top bunk bed and read. with a dog-eared copy of atlas shrugged in her hands, seven lay on her stomach, the blinds open and the sun peaking through snow flurries and reflected off the sheet on the ground radiating her face.

with her shoes kicked off on the floor and her sock-clad ankles tucked together in the air, seven was in a world of her own, or rather the world of ayn rand. her lacy mauve dress was one of the more contemporary ones that she owned, despite its vintage flavor, and she rather liked it. with one side of her hair tucked back and an enormous bow tied on the side of her head, seven's large blue eyes skimmed the pages fervently, her thin fingers flipping and her face following the action onto the next page.

what a lovely way to live, perched on your quilt and devouring a book after already having unpacked all your things. seven was supremely happy, and, all things considered, may even have been able to stand a few of her roommates should they decide to interrupt her peace. she was in a wonderful mood, and this was really the only mood in which she could handle humans.

One of Honey's three iPod's, the iPod shuffle, clung to the belt loop of her jeans as she pushed through the room door and broke through the silence with her singing,

She sang all the way through the room, spinning around flipping her hair and such as she did. She made her way into the bathroom, turned on the curler and had a ball with her hair, which was pin straight, and extremely boring to her. She'd had it that way for almost two days after all.

She paid absolutely no mind to anyone who might have actually been in the room, of course. But out of the corner of her eyes, she did think she saw the squirrelly girl. Oh well...
