Honey had been itching to get into a practice room all morning, but it took her quite a while to get all her make-up together, get her hair ready- y'know- look absolutely Honey-licious. Perfection. Be the very essense of beauty. Now that she was, she danced through the halls into the first empty room she could find.
Now. What to sing... what to sing? She grabbed a manilla folder, filled with laminated pages of lyrics, from her very expensive Coach purse. Flipping through each page, she scrunched up her face- different expressions for different feelings toward the pieces. Some disgust, some abhorance, some 'mmks' and only one 'absolutely perfect'. She warmed up, taking her time and singing out,
"Neeeee, naaah, naaaaay, n-oooooh, n-ooooooo." She repeated this several times before looking down at her papers again and beginning the song she'd chosen... 2 AM by Anna Nalick.
"2 AM and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake,
"Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?,
I don't love him. Winter just wasn't my season"
Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes
Like they have any right at all to criticize,
Hypocrites. You're all here for the very same reason
'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button, girl.
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe... just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe...
She turned and looked toward the door. She thought she'd heard something...
