History: Isabelle has known Mackenzie since she came to the school and got into theater, and absolutely adores him and how much he does to help her with her theatrical endeavors, as well as always aiding with Shakespeare in the Sun and appeasing her by providing an audience for dances she's in the middle of. She looks up to him with deepest reverence, and whether she'll admit it or not, will rarely do something she wouldn't be able to tell Mr. Butler about without feeling ashamed.
Your thoughts? "I adore Mr. Butler; I could never ask for a better director! I've acted in so many plays under him, and I still can't think of anyone I'd rather work under. I love talking to him and taking his classes, and I'm really looking forward to sending him tickets to my show when I'm famous someday, just as a nice little 'so there!'."

History: Mr. Butler is the theater director, and Jane is in theater. She's never aspired to be the teacher's or the director's pet, but she isn't afraid of being on friendly terms with them either. She likes to believe that her not being a role-grubbing little diva earns the respect of her teachers and directors, and she always tries very hard to live up to their expectations, Mr. Butler is no exception.
Your Thoughts? "Harriman is definitely lucky to have Mr. Butler as our theater director, and I'm not just saying that out of lip service. I got here a year after he did, and even though he was relatively new to the place, he wasn't shy about pushing us theater kids to our limits and challenging us to be the best possible actors we can be. As a sixth grader, I found him extremely intimidating, but once I started in high school, I found that I could go to him for help when I got confused or overwhelmed by a theater project. In my almost seven years at Harriman, these last few especially, Mr. Butler has helped me to find my individual voice as an actor, and I'm looking forward to taking some of his classes again this year."

History: When Spicer came to teach at Harriman, MacKenzie was already the well-established, well-respected, and well-fawned over Theater Director with a year of teaching there already under his belt. With their shared interest in theater, it was inevitable that Spicer and MacKenzie would at least be friends, but as they continued to go out for drinks or stay in to discuss Shakespeare over cups of coffee and MacKenzie's cats. They found they had very similar, and regrettable, past relations with the opposite sex and they decided that they would be each others rocks and would never attach strings to the wonderful friendship that had blossomed between them. Despite this promise, there is always a bit of tension between the two of them, mostly from working so closely together and from the fact that Spicer thinks MacKenzie's smokin', even if he doesn't like dogs.
Your thoughts?"Coming from struggling to teach theater at a 'normal' high school to teaching it full-time at Harriman was an incredibly stressful experience for me, but I was able to get through it with little or no trauma thanks to the wonderful man that the students all call Mr. Butler. I was the newbie, I think that's the name for it, and he was the wise sage who helped me through my first year at Harriman. And he did so without expecting anything in return, something that always piques my curiosity towards people, especially men. I think it was because of this that I actually began to seek out his help and opinion on my class material, and eventually we got to talking about ourselves and we immediately connected over, of all things, Kenneth Branagh. After that it was just an obvious progression to being not only colleagues but best friends and emotional support. It took a while, but eventually we each shared our stories of woe dealing with the opposite sex and since then we've had each others backs on that matter. I can't tell you the number of times that Kenzie's presence alone has convinced some bullheaded Joe to turn tail, it's really quite an irreplaceable trait in a friend. And I don't think I could ever replace Kenzie, nor would I want to."

History: Abi never really saw Mr. Butler in lessons, because she's a singer rather than an actor. However, she's met him when she's been in the musicals every year, and known him since he came to Felicity's. Abi has spoken to Mr. Butler many a time and thoroughly enjoys talking about Theatre with him, whenever she gets the chance of course, feelings have began to brew since last year.
Your thoughts? "Mr. Butler is one of the best teachers here at Harriman. Without him, we probably wouldn't have half of the students interested in Theatre as we do today. Although I'm not really interested in it myself, unless it's some sort of musical. I've known him since he came, but he looked a bit weird at first. I think that was probably him not knowing what to do about all the students, asking him tons of questions! We soon got talking once I started joining all of the musicals, he's a teacher of course. Mr. Butler helped me learn the moves in my first couple of musicals, I truly loved them, but I know I'm awful at acting when I'm not having to sing at the same time. I'm in my last year of school, and I guess, considering the people around this school, maybe he's the only guy I truly like? I'm not sure, but I know it's wrong, and it's so difficult. As long as I'm not in a room by myself with him and we don't start talking, it's fine. His stupid looks, are too distracting for words."

History: MacKenzie was the first teacher Erika met when she arrived at Harrison. She was so taken by his eloquence, and of course, his appearance- it hardly took any time for her to realize she'd fallen for her co-worker. Of course, decorum states that she should always act as a professional, and besides, she's unsure that her strong feelings will be favorably met, if met at all. So for now, she'll quietly adore the teacher she works with- and find little excuses here and there to have him come into her classroom when the students are gone- if only to talk.
Your thoughts? "MacKenzie is clearly respected and adored by his students, and so as well by myself. There's no other man I've met quite like him, and in my theatre experience, short-lived as it was, I've met many a theatre man. No, there's something very distinctive about him, something I'd like to further explore- as one teacher to another. His features words are so strong, his face mannerisms so flawless, it's no wonder to me how I his students could love him. I feel I want to hold him could learn from him, and in that way, improve my own heart teaching."
