[ THE TALENT ]: Isabelle is at the Harriman School for dance, specifically ballet, but is already an accomplished vocalist and a theater vet. She enjoys the challenge of dance, and pushes herself hard to succeed in this new challenge, eager to master it so she can move onto art or an instrument. Isabelle loves to perform and adores a crowd and, essentially, attention.

[ THE INTERESTS ]:

isaac, stage lights, chaos and general anarchy, her father, singing, esp. obnoxiously, or in a shower-type setting, driving far past the speed limit, brightly colored eye-shadow and generally dramatic eye makeup, snow, clevage, bright colors, motorcycles, and boys on them, scaring the middle school tech kids by making them think she's a diva, leggings, 80s fashionware, politics, calvin and hobbes, boxing, general rough housing, lacrosse, parties!

[ THE HOBBIES ]:

doodles, brushing her hair, putting makeup on isaac while he sleeps, running around,putting together obnoxious outfits, dancing around in various states of dress whilst singing into a hairbrush or other makeshift microphone, practicing sexy maxim poses in the mirror or after/before a shower.

[ THE DISLIKES ]:

stage makeup, ballerinas, khakis, pearls, isaac, argyle, illness, oxford-cut shirts, maine, her mother, lipstick, lipgloss, any sort of lip varnish, clogs, heat, japanese food, golf, existentialism and other whiny literature, french food (and people), cat hair, "miniature" dog breeds, stupid people

[ THE FEARS ]:

dark or cramped locations, her grandmother's house, her mother, fuzzy things or sweaters that make her itch, flying, heights, dying in some bizarre and ironic way.

[ THE TRAITS ]:

need for attention, basically kind, good-natured, loyal, often judgemental, sarcastic, spiteful AND vengeful, vain, stylish, obnoxious and loud.

[ THE ULTIMATE GOAL ]: to be on Late Night with Conan O'Brien or host Saturday Night Live.
[ THE PREVIOUS SUCCESSES ]: Sang for the Governor of Connecticut while her brother accompanied on piano at age ten, has played numerous roles including Maria from West Side Story AND Sound of Music, Tzietel in Fiddler on the Roof, Marian in The Music Man, and several others. Isabelle is also a credited ballerina and has performed in the ballet Cinderella as well as several renditions of The Nutcracker.
[ THE STRUGGLES ]: Isabelle has always lived in a constant battle with her controlling mother and grandmother, forced for half a lifetime to ballet classes, polo matches, and all of the preppy nonsense that comes with being wealthy and from Connecticut. The Dockers, white shorts and sweaters were always too much for Isabelle, who loved anything out of a Goodwill more than a single strand of her mother's prized pearls. However other than her juvenile difficulty with her mother, Isabelle hasn't known any great hardships aside from the passing of her favorite grandfather, her mother's father, who spoiled her like a rotten little princess.

[ THE OTHER SCHOOL ]: Isabelle and Isaac were homeschooled by private tutors after a drastic failure at Montessori school before elementary-aged classes where Isabelle trashed the classroom and Isaac stood guard. Isabelle never liked many of her tutors, and so they didn't usually last very long until she and her brother were accepted to Harriman in sixth grade, Isaac for piano and Isabelle, originally, for vocals. Isabelle stayed on vocals until halfway through seventh grade, when she realized that she already knew how to sing and that this was, frankly, dumb. She promptly switched to ballet classes, and studies vigorously to catch up with the other little girls.

LOOKS, LOCKS, AND LEGS

[ THE PLAYED-BY ]: Deschanel, Zooey

[ THE EYES ]: Isabelle's eyes are large and wide, with long eyelashes framing the top and bottom. They're always bright and excited, and their sea-blue color matches her twin brother's almost exactly. Truly the window to her soul, Isabelle's eyes will almost always reveal her true feelings or emotions, especially when they go flat or emotionless.
[ THE HAIR ]: Worn long and dark, Isabelle likes to keep her bangs short and just in her eyes. Naturally her hair falls in loose waves, and she prefers that, letting her bangs almost always frame her face whether her hair is down or up. Her hair is a shade darker than her brothers, and has been so since she dyed it blonde once as a rebellious act to look different from Isaac. Typically, Isabelle wears it beyond her shoulders and partway down her back, and almost never constricts it to a bun like she's forced to for ballet.
[ THE SMILE ]: Isabelle's smile is clear and bright, and she uses it OFTEN. Her bottom lip is slightly fuller than the top, and her teeth are impeccably straight and white thanks to years of corrective metal and bleach. When Isabelle smiles her eyes light up, and her whole face responds so that her entire emotion is written across it.
[ THE OTHER FACIAL STUFF ]: A long, straight nose is a defining feature of Izz's face. In addition, the skin on her face is always really really soft, and fairly pale, as is the rest of her skin. She attributes this to her sickly pale mother, and will sometimes try to use sunless tanners, though is apprehensive about them after the sunless tanning booth incident of '05.

[ THE BUILD ]: To put is simply, Isabelle has a dancer's build. While fairly taller than most of the girls in her class, she has the small breasts, thin waist, and small hips that characterize her trade. Her legs are long and slim, with muscular calves and thighs, and her stomach is basically flat aside from a small bit of pudge protecting her inner organs, which she wishes would "just peace already."

[ THE POSTURE ]: Isabelle carries herself well and is TYPICALLY graceful, unless she has one of her blessed clumsy moments. She almost always holds her head high and sits up straight, unless she's particularly bored in which case she'll slouch something awful. In class she almost always rolls her back over her notes or doodles, or leans as far back in her chair as it will permit.

[ THE CLOTHING ]: Isabelle prefers ecclectic styles, and will hunt for hours for one item in a Goodwill store, MUCH to her mother's dismay. Pretty much anything opposite of the polos and moccasins of Connecticut is fried gold to Isabelle. She loves vintage styles, but can also appreciate a good modern piece, and would probably buy out Urban Outfitters as her personal closet if she could. Isabelle loves to show off her legs, butt, and clevage (even though she doesn't have much of it), and will often wear snug jeans or flattering skirts in order to accomplish this goal.
[ THE HYGIENE ]: Isabelle is a very clean person, almost never bites her fingernails or touches her face, and hasn't had much acne since she blasted herself with Accutane in eighth grade. She showers ALMOST daily, but will rub baby powder into her hair on the days she forgets. Dental hygiene, however, is immensely important to the girl, and she brushes her teeth at least twice a day in addition to properly wearing her retainer every night to sleep.
