He taught me how to play rugby, and I in turn taught him how to have a life. Over the years, he started to just get...really weird though. Isaac ended up wandering in to the picture, and it seemed like he was a much better fit - and he still is, by a long shot. Really, I don't talk to Gerard all that much anymore. As a matter of fact, he sort of bothers me. There's something so typical and angsty about him. Exactly what you'd expect from a student at an arts school, no?"

Gerard says: "Yeah, I do know Jane. We spoke a bit back when I had just started and she was always the pretty girl in the year above who paid little attention to me, but was nice when she did. And that was brilliant that she even spoke to me, what with our different reasons for being here. You know, her in theatre, and me in literature, so our paths didn't cross all too often. But then last year, we started talking a little more, which is cool because she's a great girl. I wish we could have proper conversations and all that jazz, but I guess I end up ruining them by just drifting off into my own world. I can't help it, but she'll say something that'll give me an idea, that sends me into that little world, and I sincerely hopes that doesn't come off as me ignoring her. Kaylor says: "Well, we met one day in the art room. I'm really not as good as telling the story as Gerard is. He was looking for someone to draw an idea he'd had. He confessed to me that day that he wasn't capable of drawing it himself. I was just finishing a painting when he ran into me. Literally. It was rather humorous watching him apologize. Before I could say that he needn't apologize, we were conversing. I ended up drawing his idea out for him, listening carefully to his directions. We got to talking and I noticed he wasn't trying to run away as soon as the drawing was done.
It wasn't long before I counted him as a friend. It wasn't just the fact that he stood out in his right, his personality was most intriguing. We've done all sorts of things together, one of which is people watch. He's become my personal taste tester. When I need to know whether my cake is any good, I search him out."
Gerard says: "She's a wild card, is Kaylor. So very different and insane and quite brilliant at drawing as well... I really enjoy her company, and its always fun people watching with her, especially in town at weekends. My mind makes up the strangest stories about them and she can apply them to real life, make up relationships. That sort of thing. Also, I do love her cakes. Your character says: "Well, we met one day in the art room. I'm really not as good as telling the story as Gerard is. He was looking for someone to draw an idea he'd had. He confessed to me that day that he wasn't capable of drawing it himself. I was just finishing a painting when he ran into me. Literally. It was rather humorous watching him apologize. Before I could say that he needn't apologize, we were conversing. I ended up drawing his idea out for him, listening carefully to his directions. We got to talking and I noticed he wasn't trying to run away as soon as the drawing was done.
It wasn't long before I counted him as a friend. It wasn't just the fact that he stood out in his right, his personality was most intriguing. We've done all sorts of things together, one of which is people watch. He's become my personal taste tester. When I need to know whether my cake is any good, I search him out."

Your character says: "Way back when, Gerard and I were close. Freakishly close, actually. It was a good, fair relationship, if I do say so myself. He taught me how to play rugby, and I in turn taught him how to have a life. Over the years, he started to just get...really weird though. Isaac ended up wandering in to the picture, and it seemed like he was a much better fit - and he still is, by a long shot. Really, I don't talk to Gerard all that much anymore. As a matter of fact, he sort of bothers me. There's something so typical and angsty about him. Exactly what you'd expect from a student at an arts school, no?"

Your character says: "I don't really know why I dislike Gerard, but I think it has something to do with Isaac stealing Simon and buttscrewing him when Simon was Gerard's woman, or something like that... Anyways, I pretty much just avoid him entirely. He plays the clarinet, which is pretty badass, but I just do my best to keep out of his way. If he talks to me, I'm polite, and I don't spread shiz, unless Isaac wants me to, which I doubt he will ever..."

Your character says: "I have a really interesting dynamic with Gerard. While it's well-known that I'm not exactly fond of anyone beyond the safe zone that involves friendship not over-extending into my personal space, with a very few exceptions, I actually find that when he's not being obsessive about how damn pretty he is, he's not all that bad. Perhaps it's because I've taken some fundamental classes with him as a classmate and been around him enough to know that for all of his faults he's frighteningly brilliant; a quiet genius, that's what I'm reminded of. Still...he's so self-absorbed. Unfortunately for him, it reminds me, in a way, of Ly. Ugh. It's so irritating. Regardless, I respect his intelligence and consider him tolerable. According to the few that I actually can manage to be friends with, that's saying something, but I don't know if he sees it that way. As far as I can tell, I'm just as irritating to him. I'm not lofty like that, am I? I've been told that our attitudes can sometimes be eerily similar..."

Your character says: "gerard and i met in a hallway when i was younger. he had the gall to ask me, most condescendingly, if i was lost. so when i asked him if he was, for some reason he took a huge liking to me. i don't understand boys. but for whatever reason, gerard likes me a lot, and finds it necessary to shower me with sweets and presents. it's a tad irritating, but really rather difficult to complain, because he really is such a talented and nice boy... as much as i dislike people, i don't think i could bring myself to be cross with gerard..."
