Pop! Goes The Cherry
»"Oh, WG, have you really know decency? This is kind of old news, but it looks like IC might have paid off a few people, like the true politician’s daughter that she is, to keep this little gem on the hush hush. But oh, IC, IC, don’t you know that nothing is safe from me?"

Oh, Baby, Baby!
»"Hey Harrimaners, sorry for my brief abscence, but I’ve been just too busy trying to keep track of all the gossip in this school to even be able to write about it! But this little piece of news was just TOO good for even a busy bee like me to pass up."

»"Yet another car bomb went off in Iraqiranistan at approximately 3 PM this afternoon. Casualties were numbered at as many as twenty Iraqistanis, as well as three American soldiers, and thirty of both parties wounded. A statement has not been issued by the army as to the potential terrorists, but WNB is willing to guesstimate that Tyler Durden + Sack Of Mothballs = Big Explosion"

Maine to Pass Bill for Heavy Budget Cuts; Sports, Arts Suffer
» "Maine has been following the precedent set by several other United States school boards and has been cutting funding significantly to schools, especially for fine arts programs. While this mostly affects public schools, it will also affect a small number of private and magnet schools that receive fundings, grants, and scholarships for students from the government."

Maiya was bored, she knew that since she had come back to Harrimans she had probably spent a little too much time in the Dance Studio, and focusing on her students. It wasn't a bad thing, she was entirely concentrated on them which didn't leave alot of time for her, she had enjoyed what she was doing for the most part, helping them reach their goal, improve their technique and bring a new sense of the word but the Dance Studio was so peaceful, a place that she felt she belonged and where she could relax however she wanted.

It'd be a shame to ignore it just so she didn't look strange, of course some of the dances Maiya had choreographed probably would look a little weird sometimes, only a couple of them she wasn't that eccentric. So, Mai was hopping around the room, for once, in her pointe slippers, the ribbons wrapped around her ankles, as she leaped and spun graceful as an eagle. Her arms composed, forming an arch around her until she opened them out to the next move.

Liberation. And complete euphoria. Her brow slightly shining, she had been there for two hours that morning, working with the older years and then a group of younger one's until she finally had some free time. Her time wasn't spent in the shops or around the gardens, rarely did she venture out in that type of weather, instead Maiya preferred the air conditioned room, covered with mirrors, instead of even her office, and a rest. She did take breaks, in between, a couple of bottles of water located in her bag by the stereo player, right next to her cd book. Maiya had her eyes concentrated on her movements, trying to get them to fix to the song, move with it. She was only slightly off and she was having to make up for it, moving faster than she had before because of a clumsy mistake.

Over seventy cds packed into her cd book, playlists, mixes of her own and plain cds of music. She slowed, twisting her body, arching her back and turning into the curve as Maiya slowed to a halt, her right foot pointed in front of her while her left was pointed behind. It would be amazing if she could return to the stage, just for one last performance, show everyone what she was made of, but Maiya wasn't good enough. There were plenty - younger than her, that had exceptional talent and she would push them along, hope they would follow their dream and become what she had become and keep what she had eventually given up.

Shaking herself out of it, Maiya pulled off her navy blue hairband from her hair, it falling around her as she roughly shook it. Her hair had begun to fall out of its tight bun and she just decided to put it in a ponytail, no more ballet for today. It was just going to be a fun workout until dinner, lunch had finished and she had returned to the Studio only twenty minutes ago. Rolling her shoulders, she cleared her throat and walked over to the stereo, pausing the cd while she collapsed, rather awkwardly onto the floor, as Maiya began unlacing her shoes to put on her comfy jazz shoes instead. "What should I play now?"
