RUN [for fun!] Open

The day had started out pretty average, after a couple of singing practices, Abi had some time to herself, and she had been beginning to feel a little guilty for not visiting the Dorm Gym much since she had come back. That was why she was making extra effort now, dressed in baggy grey trousers, covering her trainers. Pushing up the sleeves of her green hoodie, she hopped on the treadmill, and popped on her iPod earphones. Abi pushed the start button, and began the warm up, a fast beat pulsing through her ears.

It was good being back in the gym, working off everything she had put on over the summer when she wasn't singing or going to concerts. the speed increased, from a fast walk to a minimal effort jog. Abi rolled her eyes and increased the speed with the button, her heart beating away while she kept her breathing even. So far so good. Her hands were stuffed inside her hoodie, no hands showing while her elbows made a right angle to her body with her arms.

She wondered what she should move onto after the treadmill, a good half hour on this then onto what next? There was too much choice. Abi smiled, as her feet firmly hit the rubber, one at a time. She was hitting it perfectly. Checking the time on the treadmill, Abi realised she only had twenty minutes left. The warm up was over and she had already moved onto the endurance, and her heart was already picking up speed.

Isabelle was feeling, aching for, needing some cardio. While she usually preferred going to the dance studio to work out her frustrations, or just keep her body sexy, Izz had decided to give the dorm gym a try for the first time in her life... White Christmas was coming up soon, and with all the tension she'd be carrying over the musical, as she always did, thirty minutes of exertion on the treadmill was just what her body was asking for.

Throwing on her Harriman-orange sweatpants on, the kind that pushed up onto your calf, with a big white 'SWALLOWS' emblazoned up her left leg, and complimenting it with a simple white wife-beater and her favorite running shoes. iPod in hand, Izz made her way at a brisk pace, dragging along her dance bag since it had some other gym necessities in it, like fresh waterbottles, and made it there in record time.

Not alarmingly, there was another girl in the gym already; really, in a school full of perfectionists, it's not like she expected to be the only one neurotic enough to get up this early on a Saturday. After a brief analysis, Isabelle recognized Abigail Applebottom, and smiled warmly, setting her bag down and stepping up onto the treadmill next to her.

Obnoxiously, Isabelle reached over and popped out one of Abigail's earbuds, turning her treadmill on and setting it to warm-up pace. "Hey Abi..." she said cheerfully, setting a water bottle on the top of her treadmill and walking with the black belt. "you got as much tension to work off as I do?"
