[ THE INTERESTS ]:

exhibits, music from seattle, running around museums, olives, brunettes, coffee, caffeine in general, soft things, shiny things, his hair, animals, shopping, cold weather, New Orleans, food.

[ THE HOBBIES ]:

making art, reading, writing a little, messing around on the guitar, flirting.

[ THE DISLIKES ]:

extensively preppy people, sucking up (though he has to do it anyways), art dealers, literature being classic because it's old, getting animal hair all over his clothes, the heat, the smell of plastic, not being able to think of a word on the tip of his tongue, not smelling good, working out/running (he's an ARTIST, "for christ's sakes!").

[ THE FEARS ]:

catholics (his entire family), pregnant women, big dogs, fire and very hot things, cooking, sharp things, the grey area.

[ THE TRAITS ]:

quirky, more awkward than he'd like to admit, HIGHLY self-conscious, afraid of commitment, adores his students, animated.

[ THE ULTIMATE GOAL ]: to have his fifteen minutes of fame, and then retire somewhere cool.
[ THE PREVIOUS SUCCESSES ]: Several art exhibits, one for sculpture alone, one for painting, mixed media, and sculpture, and one all photography.
[ THE STRUGGLES ]: Lucas's grandfather died when he was young, and his sister was very sick for a period during his junior year of high school, which was difficult for him since he was very close to her.

LOOKS, LOCKS, AND LEGS

[ THE PLAYED-BY ]: Long, Justin

[ THE EYES ]: Lucas's eyes are dark brown and very clear. They are almond-shaped and honest, and always crinkle at the edges when he smiles. Under each eye is a small, barely-defined bag from too many caffeine-run long nights.
[ THE HAIR ]: Luke wears his hair long so that the bottom brushes his collar and his bangs almost hand in his eyes, much to the displeasure of Prof. Harriman. It is dark dark brown, with a few chesnutty natural highlights thrown in the mix.
[ THE SMILE ]: Lucas's smile is wide and face-splitting, his teeth very straight thanks to corrective Orthodontia all those years ago. Crest Whitening has done wonders for them, as well, and they are moderately white so that when he smiles, it is always pleasant.
[ THE OTHER FACIAL STUFF ]: Lucas will often sport a five o'clock shadow, not on purpose but as a result of forgetting to shave. His nose is long and straight, with a flare at the nostrils at the bottom so that the bottom of his nose is wider.

[ THE BUILD ]: Lucas is one of those naturally thin boys and always has been. Despite his hate of working out, he has added a little bit of lean muscle mass over the years from the once a week when he'll touch the weights.
[ THE HEIGHT ]: 6' 1"
[ THE WEIGHT ]: 150
[ THE POSTURE ]: Lucas will often slouch when he doesn't pay attention to his posture, but will mostly slouch when he's working on a sculpture or a painting and cannot focus his energy on standing up straight.

[ THE CLOTHING ]: Lucas will almost always wear comfortable, paint-stained jeans with converse or dress shoes and a comfy flannel shirt for class, since you always get messy in sculpture! When he's forced to dress up, Luke prefers nice khakis and a dark blue blazer with a white dress shirt over the typical suit and tie. Most of Luke's clothes are old and he isn't likely to even have enough time to keep up with the newest fads.
[ THE HYGIENE ]: Since he's so busy, Lucas DOES sometimes forget to shower, but he's extremely diligent about his upkeep when he does remember to take care of himself. He does, as aforementioned, sometimes forget to shave, but will almost always remember to put on deodorant or brush his teeth.

FAMILY: HATE TO LOVE 'EM?

[ THE PARENTS ]: Marguerite Louise Chalmette, 50, housewife.
Jean Maurice Chalmette, 54, retired art dealer. Lucas gets along well with his parents now that he's out of the house, and loves going back to New Orleans to visit them whenever he gets the chance.
[ THE SIBLINGS ]: Louise "Marie" Chalmette, 22, student at NYU. Lucas and his sister get along famously, and he always looks forward to seeing her at the holidays and whenever she decides to drive up and visit.
[ OTHER IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS ]: The entire Chalmette family and branches off the tree is massive, and Lucas is very close to his cousins as well as aunts and uncles, and grand parents, great grandparents, second cousins...
[ IMPORTANT ANCESTRY ]: The Chalmette's are an old creole line and have lived in New Orleans since the plantation days in French Louisiana. Very, very old money.
