Jay stood in the center of the Harriman stage, grinning like a fool behind the ridiculously large prop fan she was holding. The fluffy blue feathers still tickled her nose as much as they had in rehearsal, but by now she'd taught herself not to sneeze. One must never sneeze on stage, after all. She screwed her face up as the Haynes sisters were announced and relaxed it into a smooth smile before she folded her fan up in time to the music. Izz was at her elbow, looking absolutely stunning in her powder blue dress. Jay had to admit that their costuming team had done an amazing job in re-designing the costumes. No turtleneck dresses for these sisters, nuh-uh. That was a good thing too. High necklines made Jay feel claustrophobic. She stepped forward as Izz did so beside her and nodded gracefully at their onstage 'audience' as the jazzy music got into its groove. She and Izz followed the simple choreography as the boys nearby spouted their appropriate lines. Then it was time to do what really made Jay shine. Now it was time to sing!

"Sisters, sisters." she sang, taking the deeper tones to compliment Izz's higher ones. After weeks of rehearsal, the two of them could make their voices sound like one. Jay nodded to the fake audience as she and Izz took their next positions. "There were never such devoted sisters." Jay stopped in place, making sure she had a good grip on her fan, and let Izz take her musical cue.

Glued to Jayne's elbow and hidden behind monstrous fans, Izz smiled at her co-star, a flurry of butterflies circling in her stomach. Isabelle was, of course, a nervous wreck, since this was the first number of the first show of the year, and she always without question got nervous no matter how many times she'd run down the scene. Still, she was happy to have so many good friends onstage, and her nerves were significantly assuaged by the presence of Jayne as they prepared to make their debut.

The feathers of the fan rubbed against her face gently, and she blew on them a little, avoiding bursting into fits of laughter as Jayne made a face towards the fan and the jazz cues to start their number came on. Swinging her hips accordingly, the tulle of the re-designed blue Haynes dress swung nicely as they slid their fans down and plastered on perfect smiles at the audience.

Stepping forward carefully in tandem with Jay as the piano and band cued up, Isabelle circled out as El and Simon took their lines. Then it was time; singing perfect harmony with her blonde friend, their voices sounded spectacular! It was a little easier for Izz to smile, and as the butterflies in her stomach flitted away she focused more on being the bright and lively blonde she was supposed to be.

Swinging her heavy fan back behind her head, she tucked her hand onto her hip and rocked them back and forward, throwing a coquettish grin and a wink at the audience. "Never had to have a chaperone, no sir..." only to be covered up a moment later by her "sister". Oh, this was so much fun!

Stepping forward once more, crossing legs as the choreography called for, Isabelle sang in unison with Jayne once more. "Caring, sharing, every little thing that we are wearing..." With great exaggeration Izz tossed her fan expertly at Jayne, who caught it, before stepping out with a diva-like movement.

"When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome..." I wore the dress, and she stayed homee! Isabelle thought, pumping her hip and grinning at the audience knowingly.
